Flu Shots

Flu shots are now available for the 2018-2019 flu season. The standard flu vaccine is quadrivalent this year, offering protection against 4 strains of flu-causing virus. There is also a high-dose flu shot available for adults over the age of 65. Flu shots are available on a drop-in basis; please call in advance to let us know when you would like to come in.

Allergy Shots

Do you suffer from chronic symptoms triggered by common allergens like dust, mold, or animal dander? Regular allergy shots, as prescribed by an allergist, can help to alleviate your symptoms. Keystone Medical can administer your allergy shots, and even book you for convenient, recurring appointments to make sure you never have a gap in your treatment.

Vitamin B12 Shots

Keystone Medical can administer Vitamin B12 shots for any of our patients who have been diagnosed with Vitamin B12 deficiency. Injections can be picked up with a prescription at your pharmacy.

Children's Vaccinations

Peel Public Health requires all children to have up-to-date immunization records. You can rely on Keystone Medical to take care of all of your child's vaccination needs, including administration of the vaccine(s), updating immunization records, and notifying Peel Public Health on your behalf. Is your child missing or behind on vaccines? We can get your child up-to-date in as few as one appointment.

Specialist Referrals

The treatment of some symptoms and conditions may require collaboration with one or more specialists. Keystone Medical provides referrals to specialists where appropriate, including for patients who would prefer to have a female physician for pelvic exams, breast exams, and pap tests.

ADULT Vaccinations

Keystone Medical can administer a variety of vaccinations for our adult patients, including:

  • Tetanus (every 10 years)

  • HPV - Human Papilloma Virus

  • Pneumonia (OHIP insured for age 65 and up)

  • Shingles (OHIP insured for ages 65 to 70)

  • Travel vaccines

Some of the above vaccinations may be subject to a fee. Please ask at your next appointment if your vaccination needs are covered by OHIP.

Testosterone & DEPO-provera Shots

Low testosterone is a common condition in men which does not necessarily require treatment. Keystone Medical administers testosterone injections for patients who would benefit from this hormone replacement therapy.

Depo-Provera shots are a form of contraception for women that are administered every 3 months as an effective alternative to oral therapy. This medication can be picked up at your pharmacy with a prescription, and Keystone Medical can administer it.

Keystone Medical is able to complete the medical documentation required by employers, including the MTO for drivers of commercial vehicles. As OHIP does not provide coverage for these appointments, patients are responsible for all associated fees. Please refer to our clinic policies for more information.

Keystone Medical takes your physical and mental health very seriously. Patients should always notify booking staff that they are looking to book a counselling appointment in order to be allotted an appropriate amount of time with the doctor.

Counselling visits are structured appointments dedicated exclusively to your mental health; no other medical issues will be addressed during counselling visits.
